Following a successful career in Finance for more than 30 years, Stefan moved to Hokkaido to pursue entrepreneurial activities. After spending several years in construction project management, Stefan, along with Paolo Danesi, formed the Design and Architectural business of HPDAtelier, Niseko.
Paolo Danesi - Architect & Founder
Architect
Born Brescia, Italy in 1985 to a family of craftsmen Paolo went on to study Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan where he ultimately gained a Masters in Architecture. After practicing as a Licensed Architect in Italy for several years, Paolo moved to Japan in 2016 & ultimately spent four years working for Kengo Kuma, Tokyo following two years with Nikken Sekkei, Tokyo prior to forming HPDAtelier, Niseko.
Hiroyuki Sube
Chief Project Manager
With over 25 years of international experience, Hiroyuki has worked with leading firms such as Foster + Partners and DP Architects across Europe and Asia. His expertise spans high-rise mixed-use developments, luxury residences, and sustainable masterplans, combining design innovation with strong project management. Now based in Japan, he focuses on creating architecture that harmonizes with nature and contributes meaningfully to society.
Hiroko Nakano - Administrator

Having worked for two private Japanese companies, with responsibilities for Administration and Finance, Hiroko helped form HPDAtelier and assumed responsibility for Administration.
